We need a Scheme Manager we can rely on to provide the best possible service to our elderly tenants at Erica House. The retirement flats on this site are maintained to a high standard, and provide a very pleasant and relaxing home. If your background in a people-orientated role has given you a good understanding of older people’s needs, you could be ideal for this role. As manager, you’ll involve the tenants in decisions affecting their community, and encourage them to have their say through your presence on the site. Dealing with day-to-day repairs and office administration will be major part of this role. You will also promote continuous improvement by winning the support of everyone who can help make Erica House an even better place to live, work and visit. If you’re good at talking to people from all walks of life, and have the enthusiasm, initiative and judgement to be a success here, please print, complete and send in an application form. We are looking for a candidate who will be providing a high quality support service to service users with a learning disability, supporting them to develop life skills and the confidence to integrate successfully into the local community. You will possess excellent listening and communication skills as well as the ability to support vulnerable adults. Working as part of a team you will be enthusiastic with a positive attitude and be willing to learn with the ability to develop good practice. In addition you will need to be able to liaise with internal and external agencies and demonstrate a good standard of written, verbal and numeric skills as well as basic PC skills. You will be required to work shifts, and weekends on a rota basis and take part in the 24 hour on call service on a rota basis which can include cover on days off. An appreciation of the issues facing people with learning disabilities, and the legislation which affects them, would be an advantage. SPH look to develop individuals providing a good training package that is tailored to individual and statutory needs.
